Sigma Football wins the Calgary Regional CFL/NFL Flag Football Tournament

The CFL/NFL Flag Football regional tournament was held on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017 and the winners, Sigma Football, will represent Calgary in Ottawa during Grey Cup week!

Our goal is to train young athletes with traditional football skills but in a fun, non-contact setting under close expert supervision.


Concussion Report

Washington Post - Lectures about concussions in youth football tend to be a dull compound of science and moralizing. So instead of words, let’s try a picture. Pick up a bobblehead and shake it — hard. Watch the little spring neck whiplash back and forth and hear the toy rattle, and imagine your son’s 7-year-old brain inside the shell. That’s why you need to hand him a flag instead of a helmet.

Our football training camps welcomed a special guest to our fields. Canadian Olympic Decathlete Michael Smith visited and offered our players his stories, advice and expertise in becoming and training as a future athlete.

Calgary Stampeders

The Calgary Stampeders are a professional Canadian football team based in Calgary, Alberta, competing in the West Division of the Canadian Football League (CFL). The Stampeders play their home games at McMahon Stadium and are the third-oldest active franchise in the CFL. The Stampeders were officially founded in 1945.The Stampeders have won seven Grey Cups and won 19 Western Division Championships and one Northern Division Championship.

Sigma Football

Sigma Football is a non-contact flag football association that caters to boys and girls ages 9-16 years of age. Sigma Football has committed to develop young athletes socially, mentally, and physically in a safe and motivating sporting environment within the community. Sigma Football is based in Calgary, Alberta and has been operating since 2014.

University of Calgary Dinos

The Calgary Dinos are an athletic football team that represents the University of Calgary in Calgary, Alberta. The Calgary Dinos football team has won the Vanier Cup national championship four times the most out of any of the Canada West teams. The Dinos have also won the Hardy Trophy conference championship 14 times, including six consecutive wins from 2008-2013. The Calgary Dinos football team operates out of McMahon Stadium.
